Introducing Procedure Builder™ — A division of Let’s Do Surgery™
A procedure involves far more than its name.
Behind every case are preferences, equipment, instruments, supplies, medications, positioning requirements, and people who need to understand their responsibilities. When those details are scattered across paper cards, separate systems, and conversations, preparing becomes more complicated.
Procedure Builder™ is being developed to bring those details together in a mobile experience—with information appropriate to each person’s role.
Our vision starts with a familiar tool: the physician or surgeon’s preference card. From there, it grows into a connected resource for professional preparation, patient education, and product information.
For physicians, surgical teams, and facilities
Imagine starting with four simple questions:
What facility?
What physician or surgeon?
What procedure?
What approach?
Those selections provide the foundation for organizing the details of a procedure—from equipment and supplies to positioning and room preparation.
The goal is to make preferences easier to build, review, update, and communicate from a smartphone. For a traveling nurse or surgical technologist entering an unfamiliar facility, clearer preparation details could provide valuable orientation. For an established team, they could make changes easier to follow.
Consider an urgent case after hours. The surgeon needs specific equipment available before arriving. Our vision includes a way to communicate those requests through an updated procedure card, with clear responsibility for reviewing and confirming changes.
The value is practical: help the team understand what is needed and prepare together.
For patients and families
Patients need a different view of the same experience.
They may want to understand what a procedure involves, why a particular approach is being discussed, what questions to ask, and what recovery may look like.
Procedure Builder’s educational vision includes visual explanations and accessible language to help patients and families participate in conversations with their healthcare professionals.
Professional preparation details and patient education would be presented through experiences appropriate to each audience.
Better understanding gives patients a stronger starting point for discussion.
For medical suppliers and pharmaceutical companies
Product information has greater value when it is accurate, relevant, and easy to find.
Our vision includes connecting procedural items with manufacturer information, product references, educational materials, and appropriate representative contacts.
For facilities and care teams, that could make it easier to identify a product and find supporting information. For medical device, supply, and pharmaceutical companies, it creates an opportunity to support informed product understanding.
Commercial relationships should be transparent, with clinical decisions remaining under the control of healthcare professionals.
Built from experience. Designed to grow.
Procedure Builder grew from a practical question:
How can the details a surgical team needs become easier to organize, understand, and communicate?
That question guides our development. We are starting with the foundation of procedural preparation and building toward a broader connected experience.
We invite physicians, nurses, surgical technologists, facility leaders, patients, and industry professionals to follow our progress and help shape what comes next.
