Welcome to Let’s Do Surgery: Intelligence. Direction. Connection.

Every procedure begins with a need for understanding. Let’s Do Surgery™ is built around that idea: helping patients, families, and healthcare professionals make sense of the information surrounding medical and surgical procedures.

Welcome to Insights & Updates, our home for the ideas, conversations, and progress behind Let’s Do Surgery and Procedure Builder™.

A clearer view of the journey

Our mission is to help patients and their families understand, visualize, and participate in the planning of their care. We want to make procedure information easier to explore and help people prepare thoughtful questions for their care teams.

The vision is guided by three words: intelligence, direction, and connection. Understanding the language. Finding a useful next step. Connecting the people involved in care.

Introducing Procedure Builder™

Procedure Builder, a division of Let’s Do Surgery, is in development. Its planned workspace brings procedure preparation details into a structured format for review by qualified teams. These categories include positioning, prep and draping, instruments, equipment, supplies, medications, implants, and devices.

The goal is better organization and clearer communication around the details that matter to a surgical team. The concept also creates space for patient education appropriate to patients and families.

Built from operating room experience

Let’s Do Surgery was founded by JF Barilla, CST, FA, a Surgical Technologist and First Assistant with more than 30 years of surgical clinical experience. George ElBayadi, MD, an anesthesiologist, is Co-Founder & Partner. Their shared vision connects professional preparation with patient understanding.
